Models of teaching

Teaching models are instructional designs.Bruce Joyce and Marsha Weil describe a model of teaching as a plan or pattern that can be used to shape curricula,to design instructional materials and to guid instruction in the  classroom and other settings.There are six fundamental elements of model of teaching: focus, syntax,principle of reaction,the social system,the support system and effect( include nurturant effect and instructional effect).Bruce Joyce and Marsha Weil identified four categories of models of teaching ,and it is called families of models .They are the following;

         1) Information processing family

         2) Behaviour system family

         3) Social family

         4) Personal family
